FATMA EL MEDHI. Chairwoman of Honor Mestival 2005

She was born in 1969 in the Western Sahara in Smara's city.  In 1975, fleeing of the bombardments marroquís it goes out of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) and shelters in the refugees camps of Algeria.

She went to Algeria to study and then she is sent later to Lybia for 10 years, belonging to the first women in realizing his studies in this country. In 1986 it interrupts his studies in Lybia because his father dies in the war, victim of the fight of national liberation against the occupant marrroquí. 

Fatma is the current General Secretariat of the National Union of Saharan Women (UNMS). Congress of the UNMS was chosen by the first time in 4 º and reelected in 5 º Congress (2007) of this organ of representation of the Saharan women.

Nació en 1969 en el Sáhara Occidental en la ciudad de Smara. Y en 1975, huyendo de los bombardeos marroquís sale de la República Árabe Saharaui Democrática (RASD) y se refugia en los campamentos de Argelia.
Es enviada a estudiar a Argelia y posteriormente a Libia durante 10 años, siendo de las primeras mujeres en realizar sus estudios en este país. En 1986 interrumpe sus estudios en Libia porque su padre muere en la guerra, víctima de la lucha de liberación nacional contra el ocupante marrroquí. 

Fatma es la actual Secretaria General de la Unión Nacional de Mujeres Saharauis (UNMS). Fue elegida por primera vez en el 4º Congreso de la UNMS y reelegida en el 5º Congreso (2007) de este órgano de representación de las mujeres saharauis.



NELSON MANDELA 

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela born 18 July 1918. Served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, and was the first South African president to be elected in a fully representative democratic election. Before his presidency, Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, and the leader of Umkhonto we Sizwe, the armed wing of the African National Congress (ANC). In 1962 he was arrested and convicted of sabotage and other charges, and sentenced to life in prison. Mandela served 27 years in prison, spending many of these years on Robben Island. Following his release from prison on 11 February 1990, Mandela led his party in the negotiations that led to multi-racial democracy in 1994. As president from 1994 to 1999, he frequently gave priority to reconciliation.

In South Africa, Mandela is often known as uTata Madiba, an honorary title adopted by elders of Mandela's clan.Mandela has received more than 250 awards over four decades, including the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize.




NELSON MANDELA

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela  nació el 8 de julio de 1918), conocido en su país como Madiba, abogado, fue el primer presidente de Sudáfrica elegido democráticamente mediante sufragio universal así como el líder del Umkhonto we Sizwe, el brazo armado del Congreso Nacional Africano (CNA). En 1962 fue arrestado y condenado por sabotaje, además de otros cargos, a cadena perpetua. Mandela estuvo 27 años en la cárcel, la mayoría de los cuales estuvo confinado en la prisión de Robben Island. Tras su liberación el 11 de febrero de 1990, Mandela lideró a su partido en las negociaciones para conseguir una democracia multiracial en Sudáfrica, cosa que se consiguió en 1994 con las primeras elecciones democráticas por sufragio universal. Mandela ganó las elecciones y fue presidente desde 1994 hasta 1999, dando frecuentemente prioridad a su reconciliación.

En Sudáfrica, Mandela es conocido como Madiba, un título honorífico otorgado por los ancianos del clan de Mandela.Recibió más de 250 premios y reconocimientos internacionales durante cuatro décadas, incluido en 1993 el Premio Nobel de la Paz.
